My family needs your help

Hi, my name is Gabrielle Trozzo and I’m Raising money to help my family in this time of need. My fathers name is Gene. In February of this year my father turned 50 years old, 3 days before his birthday he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Up until my father fell ill he worked construction. He is a family man and has always taken care of everything in his household. My father has always been the type of person to give the shirt off his back to those in need, if he had to he’d give you his last 20 dollars if you needed it more than he did.

In the last few months, he’s needed spinal surgery to remove part of his spin to due to a tumor that had been pushing on his spinal cord making him unable to walk, it fractured his vertebrae and 2 of his ribs. He spent the entire month in the hospital.

Returning home, things had started to look up. He was through radiation and ready to start chemo. They had given him an estimated time of 6months to 2 years even with the treatments but my father remains optimistic. He want to fight this and the time given to him as he’s not ready to leave his family. While not easy on him, physical therapy was going well and we have become hopeful.

Before the start of chemo, he started having pain in his hips, another trip to the hospital and he was then diagnosed with degenerative disease, the pain caused from that has left my father unable to walk again for more than a few steps.

Flash forward to last week, while on a routine visit to the doctors my father was sent to the ER. It was discovered that he had some blood clots in his heart that had moved to his brain and caused mini strokes. He also has pneumonia. My father is now in the ICU fighting for his life.

My step mother has been by his side through it all as well as his 2 children and 3 step children. While we all pitch in to help try to cover the expenses of gas and bills in their house we all have our own as well. My step mother drives and hour trip back and fourth everyday to be with my father. He has applied for things such as social security and disability but has yet to see anything come of that. We are asking for any help to cover her trips or stays as needed and help keep their bills paid so they don’t fall into debt. We also ask that in this time you keep our family in your prayers.
