Say Goodbye to the Ugly Cupcake Muffinry

Well, the time has come. After almost 6 years, the Ugly Cupcake Muffinry is closing their doors. Though we did not have an active case within our walls, Covid-19 took no prisoners.  The financial strain of the lockdown, limited seating, and current financial climate, combined with intelligibility of much “government aid”, no reduction in expenses, and increased costs took more than we had to give.  Many of our amazing patrons and supporters have asked how they could help... and though asking for help is well out of my wheelhouse, closing this business is incredibly expensive. Used restaurant equiptment has little value, as the market is saturated, and, like most restaurants, we ran on very slim margins. Any donations will be allocated to outstanding expenses in order to avoid bankruptcy and damage to my family. Any funds beyond the expenses will continue to be put towards our Muffin But Love program, which, since March 2020, has provided over 800 meals to those in need in our community due to Covid.  The Muffin But Love program will live on, as will my gratitude and memories of the amazing time I had as part of the outstanding Beaches Communities.
