Keep me in my home - stroke survivor facing eviction

Donation protected
12/28/24 - If I don’t pay at least my $2342 and change back rent from November and December, I’m probably going to be evicted from my mobile home park (I own my mobile outright, but pay lot rent). I have $1200 in the bank to cover one month, but I can’t pay less than the current amount due (I tried last night). I have until the 31st to pay the current due amount, or the 5th to pay the total amount of $3512.75. Anything extra raised will go towards getting me caught up with monthly bills and towards some very necessary car repairs (tires, alignment, brakes, and a leaking transmission gasket) that will keep my 2015 Subaru on the road. Every little bit helps.

7/26/24 - $2500 in AC and furnace repairs has put me behind AGAIN. I’ve put off some regular payments (3 months behind on electric, 2 months behind on internet) to cover other expenses, but s*%t is still coming due. I have a good budget for months with no emergencies, but it seems like the emergencies don’t stop. I can pay all my bills for August except for my rent (I live in a mobile home that I own, but have $1050 lot rent each month).

03/18/24 - I reached out to a community I’m a part of, and they came through in February; however, I checked my bank account today and I’m in the hole another $1300. I just can’t seem to get ahead. I can’t go back to the same group again, but I have no place else to turn. My mom has been in the hospital and rehab, so I can’t rely on the Bank Of Mom, either.

February - I am ashamed to admit that I overextended, ran up against overdraft fees with the bank, and my rent payment bounced. I receive SSDI because I had a stroke 7 years ago, and I have survivorship on my wife's pension, but when you start the month in the hole it's really hard to bail yourself out.

I tried to get an emergency loan, but my credit report is a work in progress and it's not quite good enough to get me approved just yet. I'm waiting on $650 from an old retirement account, as well as a $1500 state tax refund (yay Colorado for refunding sales tax revenue) but the state hasn't even started processing returns yet and refunds will take up to 30 days after processing.

Today I got a 30-day notice about my rent, which is $1050 for February. I am overdrawn $600 on my bank account. $3000 will allow me to get even with the bank and my landlord, plus leave a little to cover any incidents that might arise before March and the whole cycle starts again. Every little bit helps. My dogs, kittens, and I thank you for whatever you can give.
