Amanda's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Tiffany Guerrero and I'm raising funds for my niece who was in a terrible and very traumatic accident on July 4th. Let me just say my niece Amanda is a true warrior with her heroic big brother, Noah, as her savior and protector. Amanda is no stranger and she finds the best in every situation. She's an amazing 16-year-old God-fearing girl, who puts and thinks of others first, she's an athlete who plays soccer and basketball like a CHAMP and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.

What should have been a great time on July 4th, ended up in tragedy. Amanda, her brother and their friends were watching the fireworks show in a neighborhood in Willis, TX and things quickly went horrible when the fireworks malfunctioned and caused a massive fire and explosion.

Three people got hurt, and unfortunately, my niece was one of them. She had to make a quick decision: get burned, jump off, or worse. Without any choice, she leaped and ended up breaking both of her legs, fibula on her left leg is broken and her right ankle is broken.

She's going to need reconstruction surgery next week and will need weeks of recovery time and physical therapy. On top of this, she's entering her junior year in high school. I know this is going to be tough on her mentally and physically.

Many have reached out and supported my sister in various ways. I can’t thank you enough for this support and especially for your prayers for Michelle, Amanda and Noah. Many have offered to help and asked, “What do you need?” Often the reply has been, “I simply don’t know.”

I would love to lessen the burden and worry of how bills will be paid during this time of healing. It’s difficult to ask for financial support, but the potential future medical needs and therapy seem overwhelming. Contributions will assist Amanda's journey of recovery to cover medical bills, all types of physical therapy and any other expenses that may arise.
