Izzy’s tumor fund
Don protégé
In May 2023, our sweet Izzy began having seizures. In July, a glioneuronal benign tumor was found, requiring Izzy to have brain surgery and partial resection of the tumor. They were unable to remove the entire tumor due to its location. She initially did well, but then started having seizures again. A repeat scan on February 2, 2024 shows the mass has grown requiring Izzy to start oral chemotherapy drugs for a year. She will require appointments every 2 weeks and repeat scans every 3 months to monitor her progress.
As you can imagine, this puts a financial strain on Cassie, a single mom who already works overtime on a regular basis to make ends meet. Along with the cost of her previous surgery, scans, and traveling to Duke frequently (an hour ride), Izzy’s medications cost $800/month out of pocket. Any financial help and prayers would be greatly appreciated!
