Please help Shawn Wade

Hi,
My name is Catherine. I am creating a Go Fund Me for one of my good friends, Mollie (and her family). I might not have all details as family has been very occupied. In July 2022, Mollie tragically lost her daughter and granddaughter, and the family is still grieving. On October 20, 2022, I received a phone call from my friend that her son Shawn was being transported to the hospital via helicopter with no answers other than he needed to go to a trauma unit. Shawn had fallen to the ground, his body was frail, limb, and he was in and out of consciousness. Shawn has been in a coma since October 20 in the critical ICU. Shawn has always had a healthy life with no issues and has lived an everyday life for a 31-year-old. A timeline of updates is placed below.

October 20, 2022
Shawn had walked out of the bathroom and fell to the floor. When his brother Jaden found him on the floor, he immediately tried helping him. However, Shawn was too weak and limb for him to move or help up. A 911 call was placed as dispatchers attempted to keep the family calm. They gave them specific directions to have Shawn do it until paramedics arrived. When paramedics arrived, they said Shawn needed to be transported to a trauma unit. The family lives in Faribault, MN; therefore, the closest hospital with trauma was Abbott Northwestern. Paramedics requested Shawn to be helicoptered to Abbott, which would be a 6-minute ride. Mom and brother drove via her car, about an hour from their house. Once they arrived at the hospital, Shawn was in critical ICU in a coma and has been so since Thursday. Shawn had bleeding and swelling on the brain and had no movement on the left side of his body. The hospital ordered an MRI, CT scan, EKG, and an incredible amount of tests. He is also on a ventilator for his breathing.
October 21
Doctors had no answers why he had bleeding on the brain or swelling. All tests ruled they could not find a diagnosis of what was going on. Later that night, another MRI was done, and the bleeding had stopped, but increased swelling had occurred. Shawn developed a fever and was diagnosed with Pneumonia. Doctors confirmed late that night that he had had multiple mini-strokes.

October 22
Shawn was given an EKG and is still connected to the EKG. They were hoping he would wake up from the coma, and usually, they see patients wake up at this time. They were set on Sunday that he would be awake from the coma and see where he was.

October 23
Mollie arrived at the hospital hoping she would see her son and he would be awake. Mollie called me upset and at a loss for words as doctors stated that her son still had not woken up. They assured them that she was aware her son was in critical ICU and that there was a strong possibility that he might never wake up, which could take his life. No changes have been made, and it has been a waiting process.

October 24
No changes and Shawn still has not come out of the coma.

October 25
Shawn opened his eyes slightly and moved parts of his body. However, the hospital mentioned that he was not awake and was pressure movements. The family is still hoping and praying that these were signs he would wake.

October 26
No changes have happened. Shawn is still on all machines, in a coma, and on a ventilator.

All funds will go towards medical bills and any emergency that may occur during this challenging time. We pray daily for a positive outcome to this tragic news. The family appreciates all donations and cannot express their gratefulness to everyone.
