Shirley Mayo’s Cremation and Funeral Services
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my adopted mother Shirley Joeanne Mayo passed after battling a septic infection yesterday.
She had diabetes, congestive heart failure and fluid around her heart for over a year now but was seeing her doctors and was taking medicine to improve.
Somehow she got an infection and it got septic. Her heart wasn’t strong enough to fight it so it took over her whole body.
Her heart was fighting the infection so she couldn’t pump blood to her legs or organs correctly. Her organs started shutting down and fluid began leaking from her legs.
She was put on medicine to help but unfortunately her body couldn’t even fight the infection long enough to let the medications could take effect.
In this time her heart stopped 5 times and the damage between intervals was too much, her organs and brain was already damaged beyond repair and even if she was able to be brought back again she would’ve probably needed to amputate her legs and arms and she would’ve had too much brain damage. So we all went to the hospital and she died surrounded by her kids.
My family and I are trying to plan her cremation and funeral services but unfortunately she didn’t have any insurance and her children are over the age of 50 and also have health issues. They don’t have that kind of money either.
We might not be able to have a funeral at all due to the costs, we may be only able to pay for cremation.
So if you knew my mother or just want to help by donating, that would really really help us and we would be so grateful.
If you would like to attend her funeral or celebration of life let us know.
Thank you so much for reading.
