Cradled in Mary's Arms: Pregnancy Loss Support

Hi, My name is Pam, and I experienced a miscarriage with my first pregnancy in 2020. Until then, I never realized the profound grief that surrounded a miscarriage. It didn't matter that I never had a chance to meet my child...I lost a child, and it was a very real loss. I struggled to find support in my community and church, and the Holy Spirit inspired me to do something about it myself.

So, the following year, I created a support group in my church, and have since provided monthly meetings to bring grieving mothers together in a supportive community and help them find hope and healing from scripture and other inspirational readings. I helped get a collection of miscarriage support books in my parish library. I've also used my own funds to create a booklet of resources and create a website with everything from prayers and saints to local funeral home information. My hope is to raise money for the continuation of my support group and the sharing of resources. If more money is raised, I'll be forwarding any additional funds to crisis pregnancy centers and mothers and babies in need.
