Help Craig Beeson Get Dental Implants

Donation protected

Hi friends,

This is a fundraiser to support Craig Beeson and raise money for him to get a full set of dental implants. If you want to read about Craig's medical history and how it led to him needing implants I've written up a short summary below.

THE NEED

Craig needs to raise $40,000 to pay for a full set of dental implants. His teeth have deteriorated in the past 3 years due to the effects of a tumor on his pituitary gland at the base of his brain.

THE GOAL

To give Craig a normal life and return to full health. Help him get back to working and hanging out. Be able to eat and chew food and play sports again.

CRAIG'S MEDICAL HISTORY

Starting in 2013 Craig would get severe headaches while working in front of a computer. He tried a variety of treatments but ended up getting an MRI in 2014 which revealed that he had a small tumor on his pituitary gland. Even after the first MRI,  the doctor wasn't certain that this tumor was causing the headaches. In 2017 he got an updated MRI and it showed that the tumor had doubled in size, and was partially wrapped around an artery. By that time all of his symptoms were worse, he was losing motor controls and was spending the majority of his days in bed.

The procedure to remove the tumor would put Craig's life at risk and the doctors recommended Craig to go on a medication based treatment for a few years. During this time Craig worked from home as best he could and relied on support from his family and close friends to work and live.

Starting around 2018, Craig started to experience severe pain in his teeth. The teeth were sensitive to heat and cold and caused pain. Eventually Craig's teeth began to crack and chip, leaving him with exposed nerves and a lot of pain.

In 2020, after years of medication treatment Craig was able to raise enough money to purchase insurance and receive surgery to remove the tumor. On May 22nd 2020, neurosurgeon Daniel Kelly at Providence St John's Hospital in Santa Monica removed the tumor by going through Craig's nasal passage to gain access. It was dangerous and a wrong move could have led to internal bleeding or worse. Thankfully, the surgery was successful and Craig has been recovering and regaining his strength.

2020 POST SURGERY - INFECTION AND EXTRACTIONS

After his surgery Craig's health improved. His strength and stamina started to return, he was able to play with his niece, go for walks and even start some light work.

However, his teeth continued to get worse. In late 2020 he got an infection and his dentist told him that he would need to have all of his teeth extracted and get a full set of implants.

Because this kind of medical expense is not covered by insurance, Craig needs your help to get this work done. As his family and friends now is the time to rally around him and help him restore his smile.

Thanks for visiting this page and giving.
