Craig Masuda Jr Lahaina Fire Relief

Aloha and mahalo (thank you) for taking the time to read this. My name is Gabrielle Kahle Masuda and I was married to Craig Masuda Jr for 14 years and we have 4 children; Joshua Keahi (from his previous marriage) Richard Christian 18, Kahle Nobuyuki Kale 15, and Rai Hi`ilawe 13. On the 4th of August a fire began ravaging the small town of Lahaina on the island of Maui. This fire was fueled by winds from a Hurricane that was over 400 miles away. These winds carried the fire fast and furiously out of control until it consumed our beloved historic town. The fire moved so quickly that many fled for their lives and barely made it out alive with whatever they had. Sadly we know of many that did not make it out. Our hearts grieve the loss of these people and the loss of our home town. During that fire Craig Jr and his parents Beverly and Craig Sr., lost everything they had built in this life including the house and all their worldly belongings. We are grateful they are still with us alive but they now face a daunting road ahead to rebuild into a new life. They are not alone in this journey as hundreds if not thousands of people share this similar story. My children lived with their dad and grandparents during part of the week and lost what anything they had there. I have taken Craig Jr. into my home to be with his children during this time as we grieve and try to rebuild a life for him. I humbly ask for any help that your capable of giving to our family as this fire will result in me unable to provide in total due to my own lack of resources as my job was in Lahaina as well. I appreciate all thoughts, prayers and well wishes and will forever be grateful for any assistance given. Please pray for Lahaina, Maui and all the people of Hawaii as we are in mourning for the lives and the history of our people.
