Craig McGuire's medical bills from fire accident

Donation protected
On Sunday May 31, 2020 we had all our kids at the farm for breakfast. Then the day got started cleaning up the area where our new home is going up. An exciting time for all of us as we as a family have been dreaming and preparing for this for many years. However that is when tragedy struck and our son Craig McGuire (19) was severely burned igniting a brush pile. The quick response from 3 fellow 1st responders (his siblings) and our local fire department volunteers along with EMT and MediVac made it possible for him to be in the air just under an hour from the call. Craig was air lifted to St. John's Mercy Creve Coeur Missouri burn unit. He sustained burns over 50% of his body with 23% being 2nd degree. These are located on his face, neck, back, both hands and arms. On Thursday June 4th he underwent surgery to clean up 3 concerning spots on his elbows and right shoulder blade. After which we were informed at this time he does not need skin grafts. Which is a great relief. He is still in the hospital recovering.  The prayers, love, calls, texts and concern from our community have been unbelievable. We knew our boy was loved but this degree is remarkable. Craig is a Volunteer fire fighter on both the Clarksville and Eolia fire departments. He is very active with both departments. I have lost count of the many dinners he has walked away from to answer a call. To say we are proud of him is an understatement at 19 years old he has and will continue to do so much for our community. We spoke to Craig about the forth coming bills and the thought of a fundraiser. His response was, “WHATEVER DOES NOT GET USED ON BILLS GOES TO MY FIRE DEPARTMENTS”. By god he just explodes our hearts ! Your donations to help with the upcoming bill's he will have are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance,  Kimberly & Patrick McGuire
