Support Craig Pittman's Widow(Crystal) and Stepson(Lucas)

My name is Terry Allen and with permission from Craig's widow Crystal and the Pittman family, I'm starting this campaign to provide needed financial assistance to Craigs widow Crystal and Craigs stepson Lucas after Craig's tragic and untimely passing on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.

Craig's personality of being kind hearted, gentle, down to earth paired with a questionable sense of humor created many strong friendships forged over the years while growing up in Whitney Pier and graduating in '99 from Sydney Academy. Craig displayed a strong work ethic when he entered the work force and naturally made friendships with both coworkers and customers that went above regular customer interaction. This led to many positive and successful professional experiences while working at Radioshack/The Source at many locations, Shaw Brick, USL Concreate, Pet Valu, Total Recycling, Giant Tiger and most recently the past 5 years at Canada Post. Due to a deep routed commitment to our unofficial "club memberships" to such establishments as Smooth Herman's, Craig often worked multiple jobs at the same time throughout the years and was someone who always wanted to stay busy and financially support his family as much as he could.

Craig and Crystal have worked hard the past few years as a team to achieve some mutual goals and life milestones including earlier this year purchasing a new home for their family. On top of losing her husband, Crystal now faces the hard reality of being the sole source of income while dealing with the regular expenses of groceries, utilities, mortgage and vehicle payments etc.

Craig was always a guy who would make time to help friends, family and strangers. He had a big heart and his nature was always putting the needs of others he cared about before his own.

This has been a very difficult week with going through the rollercoaster of emotions for everyone who knew him and now after we've said our good byes it's time for myself and anyone who may have known Craig from any of the above mentioned chapters of Craig's personal and professional life, many of these overlapped, to help out if you're in a position to do so. I met Craig in Grade 2 and we've had many years of great friendship throughout our lives and were fortunate enough to work together in many of the places previously mentioned. Like many who knew him, my hearts broken, and I want to do something to help the people that he was closest to in the last chapter of his life.

With that, please donate anything you can. Times are tough, life is hard but we can rally behind this mother and son in what will be an emotionally and financially challenging road as they move forward without Craig, a key piece of their life. Maybe that means we sacrifice a few cups of coffee this week, don't do a luxury activity this month or make some sort of personal sacrifice for a week (dare I say it, don't buy a case of beer, I know, this is how serious this is)
