On January 11, 2024 Bro. Craig Seidenberg, while at work, experienced a bout of vasovagal syncope (loss of consciousness) causing him to fall and hit his head. Upon gaining consciousness, Craig was confused. Coworkers called for an ambulance to transport him to the hospital. A CT scan found two brain bleeds, one new, one old. Unbeknownst to him or his family. Craig had been experiencing a brain bleed for well over a month from a previous fall in early December 2023. This brain bleed would be the explanation to his intense migraines, confusion, and increased weakness and debilitating fatigue, he was experiencing throughout the month of December and up until his fall in January.
The next day, January 12, Craig went in for emergency brain surgery and had two drains to draw and collect the blood that was sitting on his brain. On Sunday January 14, 2024, the hospital gave clearance for discharge and he came home.
Over the past few weeks, our family has observed no improvement. His migraines continued, in fact, they intensified. Craig has a diagnosis of movement disorder with Parkinsonism. His symptoms have gotten worse, such as tremors, gait disturbance (shuffled walk causing him to trip more), increased stiffness, increased anxiety and depression. We have watched him crumble and become more confused. We are afraid to leave him alone.
On Monday, February 5, 2024, his wife Sis. Mary took him to the ER again. The doctors found brain swelling and his brain had shifted. He continues to bleed from the brain. Another surgery, a craniotomy, will be on February 9, 2024. Doctors will remove a piece of his skull to help relieve the swelling and pressure on his brain. It will also help with draining the blood. His doctor will also be able to see where the bleeding is coming from and can cauterize if needed.
Bro. Craig has been and will be out of work until further notice. He will need rehab after hospitalization. Sis. Mary has cut back her hours to be with Craig, and will continue on a Part Time work schedule indefinitely to care for Craig. The funds raised will help with outstanding medical bills, prescriptions, specialists, and any home modifications needed in order for Craig to live a safe, happy, healthy and independent life as possible. Any funds raised will also help toward household bills while Craig is not working and while Mary has cut back her hours.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, your continued thoughts, support and prayers are appreciated. All of the cards, calls and visits are continued encouragement and a welcomed source of respite for our mother, as this has been exhausting mentally and physically for her.

With Grateful and Humble Hearts,
The children of Bro. Craig and Sis. Mary
Tracy, Stacy, Kiersten, & Craig Jr.
