Cranbourne East SC Walkathon, Help The Food Truck

Since January 2012, three nights a week, The Cranbourne Food Truck has served up delicious and nutritious hot meals for our community to enjoy.

Students at Cranbourne East Secondary College have organised a walkathon on October 6th in support of the Cranbourne Food Truck.

And there is most definitely a continuing need. The poverty rate in Cranbourne continues to be recorded at a higher rate than the Victorian average. Over 20% of the Cranbourne population now live below the internationally recognised definition of poverty. Health costs, mortgage stress, employment loss, sudden disability and decreased capacity for intergenerational financial support within families continue to precipitate financial stress.
