Crawley Accident Support Fund

Hello everyone, it's Debbie's daughter, Lorna. Around 5:15 PM on Saturday, November 18th, both my mom and my step-dad, Mike, were involved in a "head on" car accident. The Tahoe is totaled, all the airbags deployed. Luckily, Mike is okay. He has some serious whip lash and the arthritis in his neck and back is flaring up pretty bad. He has medications for both. As for mom, she was taken from the scene of the accident by ambulence to the hospital.  As far as injuries go, she has a pretty good laceration with stitches through her left eye brow. Her neck is fractured in two places and two discs have been removed. Surgery to fuse the vertebraes and remove the two discs was this morning (Mon. 11/20) at 7:30 AM.  Thankfully, surgery went well. She is back in ICU for the night and on a "play-it-by-ear" basis as far as being moved to general and being released. According to the doctors, she will be in a neck brace for a minimum of three months as well as out of work for that period of time too. At this point we are extremely thankful both of them are still here with us and that the conditions aren't any worse.  I know we are in the holiday season, but if anyone is willing to donate to help mom and Mike get by through this tough time anything is appreciated over the next few weeks until insurance gets rolling and things start falling into place. Mom will be out of work for a while so im reaching out to you guys to hopefully help get the stress of bills out of the equation. Thank you to everyone for your love and support!
