CRE Cares for Kids of Uvalde

We are all personally relating in different ways to the tragedy at Robb Elementary School. Some of us hugged our wives, husbands, and kids a little longer this morning, while others went to sleep last night questioning whether we are doing enough to protect our innocent children while at school. All of us are feeling a sense of indescribable sorrow and pain for the families of the Uvalde, Texas community.

 

As citizens of the commercial real estate community, we know firsthand that schools are the fabric of what creates a sense of place. We look at various markets around the country and one of the first questions we ask ourselves is “How are the schools?” Feeling powerless to turn back the clock, but empowered to look forward and brighten the future, we hope that you join us in creating a financial safety net for Robb Elementary School.

 

Our goal is to provide financial assistance for the families of the victims and to honor the memory of the young children of the May 24th tragedy. To that end, 100% of all contributions will be given to the "Robb Elementary Memorial Fund" which is being coordinated by the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District. We will let the school use the funds however it sees fit, including reinvesting into resources to help secure the future of all the students who will pass through its halls and playgrounds for years to come.

 

As a company, we have benefitted from the deals we have done in Uvalde, the greater San Antonio market, and the state of Texas. Although based in Los Angeles, we feel a responsibility to support the communities who have supported us. We hope you join us in giving back to those who weave the fabric that creates the communities we do business in and pray for those who have been impacted by this unspeakable tragedy.
