Create Access to Crucial Healthcare Services
Tax deductible
Health Outreach for Latin America (HOLA) strives to improve access to crucial healthcare services for people living in Latin America. Currently, HOLA employs two licensed Nicaraguan OB/GYNs to work at three clinics in rural communities outside the northwestern city of Leon. In 2021, over 1,400 women visited these clinics, providing them with specialized obstetric and gynecological services that would not be accessible otherwise.
This Spring, Hadley and Zach will be traveling to Nicaragua to help HOLA roll out a new initiative to improve access to pediatric care for children in these communities. As part of this work, they will work alongside Nicaraguan pediatric doctors and conduct health and nutrition consultations with children visiting the clinics and those attending local schools. To encourage students to live healthier and more active lives, they will also run a Lacrosse day for students at the elementary school in the rural community of Chacraseca.
Donations will help cover the cost of travel and lodging, but, more importantly, all the necessary resources to conduct this work and help fund the amazing work HOLA is already doing.
