The Story

Following the turmoil of 2021, Mahboba's Promise (MP) executed a brave evacuation of 107 at-risk individuals from Afghanistan to Australia, marking a historic effort in the country's humanitarian actions.

The Path of Resilience

Post-evacuation, the majority of the children were received into the foster care system hosted through a range of not-for-profit and Government agencies. In a poignant gesture of personal commitment, Mahboba and her two sisters chose to independently foster about 15 children. They have undertaken this responsibility with little to no government aid, relying on their resources to provide for these children's needs.

A Journey to Stability

Through Mahboba’s tireless endeavours, these children have found a nurturing environment filled with educational and cultural activities, all without government funding. Despite the financial challenges, Mahboba’s family’s dedication remains steadfast, ensuring the orphans receive love and opportunities for growth.

Continuing the Legacy

Today, Mahboba and her family are the pillars of support for these 15 orphans in Australia. The homes in Parramatta, Macquarie, and Eastwood are more than homes; they are spaces of healing and potential. To secure these homes, we aim to raise $50,000 to support one home, helping to ease the financial commitment shouldered by Mahboba and her sisters.
