Creation of Inspire Soccer FC-official competition in Spain

It was not long ago, 10 years to be more exact, that Susan and I created Inspire Soccer with the hope to serve every family and help every US kid that had dreams of playing in Spain in tournaments or be coached by professional Spanish coaches during the summer to achieve their goals.

We took our suitcase full of hopes and dreams and traveled every summer to Texas to give those families and players the possibility of enjoying the best training that could be offered in their area.

We decided that cost shouldn’t be high compared with the other European organizations and should be accessible to all those who are serious about the sport. We were able to offer a higher quality camp with UEFA certified coaches as well as trips to Europe for half the price of the ones offered by other organizations.

Since 2014, Inspire has given more than $30,000 in scholarships, coached more than 2,000 players, and organized trips for more than 300 families. Since 2014 we have created ONE big family where everyone is loved and taken care of.

One of our visions was to not stop helping and serving those US players when they aged out their youth soccer career. We wanted to start something for them in Spain.

This day has arrived and we are so happy to announce that Inspire Soccer will now also include Inspire Soccer FC in Spain. We will start competing in the official leagues in Spain, starting in Barcelona.

We would like to have a team (club) where US players and Spanish players compete together in order to promote to the highest level possible. For that, we will need to start at the bottom and promote through divisions, one at a time. But we dreamed big in 2014 and will dream big in 2024 because it is possible when you organise something from the heart. Other clubs may have a lot of money and resources. Although we don’t have the budget to sign big names, one thing is clear… the others are not as united as we are and at the end of the day a big family of thousands can defeat any 11 players. Heart and soul are the biggest differences between a team and a family. We are a huge family that just turned 10 years old.

The club will not only consiste of helping players play in the official leagues of the Spanish Federation but also to all of those that need an internship to finish their mandatory internship hours in fields related to soccer (Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, coaching, Sports Events organization... to name a few).

It is for this reason that we would like to ask for your help. We need to raise money in order for the players to not have club expenses. We are fundraising for their uniforms, for the referees, for the Spanish licenses, for the group meals once a week (every family meets once a week at a big table in Spain), field rentals for 9 months, etc.

For the first year, and maybe forever, I (Sergi) will not be receiving any salary in order to minimize the expenses. All the benefits we may have will always be reinvested in the club. Players will be taken care of, not only in an athletic capacity but also some of them will be living with us and being mentored.

We ask for your help because although this is a big step for our baby (Inspire Soccer) we believe a bunch of little pushes can help us outrun our rivals.

Our project includes a male team for 2024-2025 season and also a women team starting the following season (2025-2026)

The club will follow a non-profit structure and will be run by Susan and I with the same passion and heart we are running our camps and trips (these camps and trips will continue in order to keep meeting players in the US and give opportunities to as many people we can. Our trips are the highlight of the year for so many families. This is what we love)
