Dear Community,

I’m Monee Sanders, President of Alopecian Beauty Co 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

For many who may not know my journey has been a hay ride!
I’ve had this burning passion for philanthropy, holistic medicine and the beauty industry since a young girl. I grew up with a deep passion for those who suffer from autoimmune diseases because they were very prevalent in my family. I started braiding my cousins' hair as young as eight years old and was paid to do so. As my passion grew with cosmetology, I began hand-crafting custom wigs at just thirteen years old. I desired to become one of the best diverse hair care stylists in the world! In 2014, I moved from Chicago to Atlanta to make this dream a reality.

At seventeen years old, I graduated from the prestigious Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School. I was very blessed to have a full clientele before graduating from cosmetology school. After being behind the chair as a licensed cosmetologist for two years, clients gave me the nickname, “The Growing Hands, ” after helping their hair grow back so quickly. I also discovered that clients were hiding their Alopecia and didn’t have many organizations to turn to for assistance or direction. I felt there was a desperate need for an organization to protect and comfort those in the hair loss community. This community needed help spreading awareness, higher education, treatments, beauty alternatives, mental support, and more in-depth research.

My dreams became a reality when I started providing resources in the medical and beauty industry for hundreds of individuals. By 19 years old I became the first woman ever in history to become CEO of a nonprofit corporation regarding autoimmune diseases and connecting professionals. Alopecian Beauty Co was founded in 2017. The organization's mission is to create smiles daily and improve the lives of Autoimmune hair loss disease sufferers by providing cranial prostheses, educating others on the conditions, and funding research to develop cures. Our organization serves a great need for men and women across the world.

This cause and project are very important because over 147 million individuals in the world suffer from Alopecia plus the numbers are growing to over ten million in the U.S. by the year 2023. There is still no medical center in the U.S. just for these particular autoimmune diseases.

This year we’re hosting two community fundraisers to support our efforts.
Sunday, May 19, 2024, we’re celebrating our NYC Runway show fundraiser that will highlight autoimmune deficiencies, diversity, transformations and couture. We also sponsor our 7th annual gala in Atlanta, on September 21, 2024, for Alopecia Awareness Month. Our main focus at this gala ceremony is to educate attendees on Alopecia, connect patients to professionals, and raise $1,000,000 towards our Medical Center fund.

We plan to change over 3,000 lives including babies. Contributions will not only benefit our project but will fund our medical research, knowledgeable education from professionals, literacy programs, mental health support and community fundraisers.

Would you consider contributing to a part of history with us?

Your contribution would be a huge help in lowering the rates of hair loss and stress among patients.

Remember, a donation a day keeps hair loss away!

Thank you, we truly appreciate your helping hand and support.

Sincerely,

Moneé Sanders
