Creating a Beacon of Hope and Reciprocity

My name is Troy Valencia. Together with my partner, Joaly, we are embarking on a significant venture in Dominica, a jewel of the Caribbean, where we have been blessed with 13 acres of land by a generous benefactor who believes in our mission.

Our Vision?

To create a healing sanctuary dedicated to holistic wellness, accessible to all, regardless of financial background. This sanctuary is envisioned as more than a retreat; it's a movement towards rekindling our bond with nature, engaging in mindful and soulful practices, and building a supportive community.

In our observations over recent years, the exploitation and marginalization of indigenous traditions and peoples have been stark, perpetuating a long history of colonization that has often silenced critical voices. Despite our efforts to advocate for those overlooked, the challenge remains formidable, mirroring the historical neglect that has plagued many. This has driven us to launch this project alongside our non-profit, Sacred Roots Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to combating these injustices.

Our dream for the Integrative Living Center in Dominica is to establish a beacon of hope and recovery. We aim to host retreats and programs that invite individuals from diverse backgrounds to reconnect with Mother Earth. Our unique approach combines Western therapeutic techniques with the rich heritage of indigenous healing practices, all grounded in scientific evidence. This fusion highlights our conviction in nature's ability to support mental health and emotional wellness.

The contributions we receive will directly fuel the realization of this vision. Every donation helps us inch closer to constructing a sanctuary where healing, education, and growth are readily available to all, fostering a world in which we live in harmony with nature and each other.
