Supporting Educational Change Makers!

Hi! My name is Marlena and I am currently a teacher, leader, and coach in Newark, NJ and CEO of The Classroom Connection. My co-collaborator, Modiegi, is CEO of Vocalize 2 Mobalize and Chief People Officer in New York City. We are both passionate educators seeking to create impactful experiences for those who serve as the foundation of a school building - the teachers!

With my background in trauma and resilience in education and Modiegi's in leadership development, we aim to build community amongst a group of teacher-leaders and aspiring leaders. These individuals continue to master their craft and set the bar in the classroom while also supporting other teachers around them in creating learning environments that every student deserves throughout the school building.

Our first initiative will be a networking event this August. We have partnered with Lakeshore Learning to provide the location and a shopping opportunity for these educators after the store closes. Our initial goal is to provide at least 25 teacher-leaders with a $100 gift card to purchase supplies at Lakeshore for their classrooms this school year.
