The creation of heritage community orchards in Belfast.

Donation protected
Hi guys, it's The Phantom Planter here.
As many of you know I've been phantom planting fruit trees in Belfast and beyond for the past 10 years or so.. Just google my name and you'll see much of the work I've been doing.

But this year I recently setup my own apple tree nursery and we have produced 320 native Irish apple trees.

Some of these tree varieties are very rare, Cavan Wine, Donegal Green Chisel, Kemp, Blood of the Boyne and many many more. I personally, along with some my paramili-tree comrades went out last winter and searched high and low all over the country trying to find many of our old heritage apple trees. Once found we got some scions, some would know these as cuttings for propagating our own trees.

It has been a huge success and we've managed to produce 320 good healthy Irish apple trees this year.

Our plan is to phantom plant all these trees in several locations around South Belfast creating urban orchards so everyone can come and pick fresh free fruit when they want and to taste apples like never before. These trees will live for around 100yrs and will provide much needed free organic food for the community and nature for all those years ahead. But this all depends on your donations.

Many people will never have tasted these types of apples before as shop bought apples are only grown for profit and shelf life.

Native trees in general are also much better for our ecosystem as they are meant to be here.

We will be planting these trees this December 2024 and all trees will be tagged saying which varieties they are.
All of the trees will also be added to the phantom planters tree map so all can come and find the trees to sample some free fruit.

This is your chance to become part of something unique and special and you'll be seeing exactly where your money is going. If we were to buy these trees from a commercial nursery it would cost approx £6k! Never mind the work planting and maintaining.

Your money is going to help me pay the farmers who have provided me with their land and time in looking after and producing these trees.

This money will also help with the planting of the trees providing all the aftecare and the printing of the name tags.

Donate now and lets get turning our streets and estates into urban orchards for all.

And as always

I challenge you to phantom plant a tree yourself. We all need to do our bit for nature and community.

Peace and love...
