An innovative after-school program dedicated to inner-city neighborhoods, The Creative Girl Society is committed to creating a safe space for young girls to grow in creativity, character and within their communities. Volunteer based, we collaborate with inspiring women who are active artists and innovators to develop unique workshops and cultural experiences crafted to ignite the imagination. Through the power of girls working together, we aim to foster self-discovery and lifelong curiosity.

A Word From Girls Attending School In East New York :

Creativity is important, because some girls may be too shy to express themselves without it. - 4th grader

It's important for girls to work together, because some girls have been abused and we need each other for support. - 5th grader

A Word From the Founders:

With a shared experience working as educators in one of the most under-funded neighborhoods in Brooklyn, East New York, (with well over half the population living below the poverty line) we saw a need for an outlet for girls to be girls without the worries of their day to day challenges.
Thus, The Creative Girl Society was founded.
