Cremation expenses for David Weloy

Hi my name is Terri and David Weloy is my brother. David grew up in Cheshire and attended Cheshire schools, graduating from CHS in 1977. After high School David became a machinist and worked mainly in the manufacturer of helicopter parts. Unfortunately, David's life took a direction he had not planned. David had an addiction to alcohol and despite many tries he was unable to overcome this demon. Most recently David had been living in Florida. A few years back he was riding his bicycle,while intoxicated, he was hit by a truck which left him with a brain injury. Even after that David could not stop drinking. He held down a medial job barely making ends meet but always affording the alcohol that was slowly killing him. I recently became aware that his liver and kidneys were failing and he was having a liter or two of fluid drawn from his abdomen every few days. Shortly after that he returned to his apartment on hospice because there was nothing more they could do for him. David passed early this morning under the care of hospice. He was comfortable and at peace, finally. Unfortunately his addiction had won. I'm asking for assistance with the cost of cremation for David. We had been estranged over the years due to his drinking and the behaviors his addiction had caused. However, he is still my brother and he deserves a proper creation. I am looking to do a direct cremation in FL without any memorial service or fanfare. For anyone that knew Dave, and would like to help with this it would be greatly appreciated by our family since David did not have any end of life services set up. Addiction sucks for the addict anyone that knows and loves them. It's the one thing that they cannot live without and in the end it that kills them.
