cremation expenses for the Shanks family

Dear Friends ,Family ,and Community

 

You may know the Shanks family, as they are long time peninsula residents and pillars in the community. Marie (mom) worked many years at the Long Beach Grange Bingo, she was always a part of helping with the school functions and events. Terry (dad) worked as a contractor. Daughter Terri-Ann has been with Ocean Beach Hospital for many years, also a graduate from Ilwaco High school where her children now attend. Marshall (son) was employed at a property management company after working many years for Jack's Country Store. Charles (son) worked with dad in construction.

What you may not know is that Marie, Terry, and Marshall became sick with Covid-19 about 3 weeks ago. Marie was transported to a Seattle Hospital with underlying conditions. Marshall was taken to a Vancouver Hospital, while there the family learned he had liver disease along with Covid-19. Terry was brought to our local Hospital in Ilwaco . All three have been fighting hard, but unfortunately Marie and Marshall have passed away. Terry was able to get strong enough to be able to come home a few days prior to their passing. Now Terry, Terri-Ann, and Charles have to get prepared for not one, but two cremations. So of course ,that is now double the expenses needed to put them to rest. So I am asking everyone to please donate anything you can , so we can at least take that burden away from them and let them grieve with a little ease.

It would mean a lot if you could share this with others who might know the family.
