Burial Fund for Laura Ayers

Donation protected

It is with deep despair that I share with you that my mother, Laura Janel Ayers passed away in her sleep on the morning of January 8th, 2021. I never thought I’d be saying those words, so young. She went in peace to join her father, mother, late fiancée and many others. She was a beautiful person that was truly kind, loving and could make light of any situation. I will forever remember her smelling of cucumber melon and her beaming smile in flashes across a sunset sky after a long day at the beach. Her happiness came from her love of family and the brightness she always managed to carry inside of her even on the darkest days. The world is less bright without her. She leaves behind myself and my 6 siblings.

As the oldest sibling and next of kin, arrangements fall on me. I never expected to be in this place, having to lay my 45 year old mother to rest. It breaks my heart for my siblings who will never hear their mother’s voice again, for HER siblings who will never see their sisters smile again, for my son who will never be in his grandmothers arms again, for all of the souls she touched that have to mourn this tremendous loss.

My mothers parents and family are gone, leaving me as the next of kin, responsible for laying her to rest, financially, emotionally and physically. As a new mother myself in the midst of COVID, this has been a very unexpected and heartbreaking bump in the road. My world has been shattered. Unfortunately my household has suffered a significant decrease in income since the beginning of COVID, due to my fiancé having to quarantine. I was not able to keep the household above water on my own. We are 3 months behind with our bills and are working diligently to catch up which is happening slowly but surely, though with my mothers passing, new expenses have come up that I never anticipated. I am unsure of my plans for her burial due to lack of finances. My ultimate goal is to bury her with her family in Parklawn Cemetary in Hampton, Virginia. She is currently in Bethesda, Maryland, so I would need to have her transported here to do so. If money does not allow, we will cremate her and divide her ashes, part laid with her father, part with her mother, part in the ocean and the rest split between the children if they so choose to accept. Regardless which route is taken, I am in desperate need of and am asking for financial help to be able to do so.

I am humbly asking for any help you may be able to provide my family and I at this trying time. Please keep us in your prayers and may peace be with you. Thank you for even just reading and or sharing.
