Cremation & Memorial costs for Ashley Roche
Donation protected
Our sweet Ashley Roche unexpectedly passed away on January 31, 2024. Ashley leaves behind two beautiful babies, Rowan (6) and Octavia (5). Her sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, and the grief her children and mother are experiencing is immeasurable.
Her mother Dawn has been left to pick up the pieces.
She will now have to navigate life with two young children by herself; as well as the immediate costs of Ashley’s death, and the immediate obvious costs that come with having young children. Dawn is on FMLA, however this is unpaid and the children will not start receiving any benefits until around April from what we are told as of now.
Dawn should be able to grieve her daughter, and Ashley’s children should be able to give their mommy the proper memorial she deserves - without having to worry about basic necessities for her grandchildren or how she’s going to lay her own child to rest. We the grieving family & friends, would like to contribute financially as a gesture of support to Ashley’s family during this time of great sadness and loss. To facilitate this, we have set up a go-fund me in Ashley’s honor. These donations will go towards Ashley’s cremation, a memorial (date to be determined), any immediate living expenses for the children, and anything leftover will be put in a trust for Rowan & Octavia later in life.
Anyone who knew Ash, loved her. She was everyone’s friend. Always an open book in hopes to make sure no one ever felt alone. She was kind, caring, and even when life wasn’t so good to her - she still radiated love back. Ashley poured her heart & soul into her kids. Being the sole provider as a single mom, Ashley did everything she could to make sure her kids got the opportunities she missed out on. Life may have not been fair to her, but she made sure it was abundantly better for her children. Rowan & Octavia (along with most of the people in her life) NEVER had to question if she loved or cared for them. Her words & actions consistently showed that. A few years ago, the metro Detroit area had a bunch of power outages, and some people had been without power for days... Ashley just being Ash, had posted on a local community Facebook page that if anyone found themselves in a situation with kids involved - and needed help, her door was open. People of our community were so moved by her generosity that her post went “locally viral” and she even had a little interview with WXYZ! I’ll post the link below because this was a perfect example of the kind of human Ashley was. This has been absolutely tragic for her family & friends. We will miss her colorful prismatic personality, her warm and friendly demeanor, and that beautiful contagious smile so much!
