Crime against the Chavez-Lopez family
Donation protected
On the evening of Saturday, October 30th, Jimmie and Marco were home with their two babies, preparing to sit down for dinner when shots were fired into their home. A bullet hit Marco in the face while he was holding their 5-week old baby. Thankfully, both babies are safe and with family friends; fortunately, roommate and Uncle Feeve (Steven) was there to call 911 and get quick help. Marco is in the hospital and has completed his first surgery, with several more expected in the coming days and months. Jimmie is surrounded by loved ones and doing the best he can given the circumstances.
As one would imagine, this event was traumatic for the whole family and their roommate Uncle Feeve (Steven); Jimmie is now working to put the pieces of his life and family together. This amazing family is loved by so many, the outpouring of support has been tremendous. This fund is being started to help with all of the expenses that will be incurred as Jimmie finds a new home for his family, rents a car until his car is repaired, daycare for the children, medical care for Marco once he is released from the hospital and an endless list of unknown expenses to come.
Police are investigating this crime, with limited answers and no suspects at this point. We hope to get answers soon but in the meantime, the focus is on stabilizing the entire family. In addition to this Go Fund Me, we have created an account where you can sign up to support Jimmie and family with items such as daycare, meals, errands, etc. You can find that information at https://link.ianacare.team/ILFAWkKQPkb, search for Marco's team.
Thank you in advance, your support is greatly appreciated!
