Crimestoppers Reward for Jason Barry

Hello. My name is Michelle Barry. I came to visit my son Jason over homecoming weekend at Mizzou. (10-21-2022). He is a Senior and was planning on graduating in May, 2023. A tradition in Columbia is to follow Marching Mizzou as they play at various bars throughout downtown. This occurs the night before the homecoming parade and the football game. After Marching Mizzou was finished, we started walking back to Jason's apartment. All of a sudden, we heard POP, POP. We thought it was fireworks until my son screamed...I've been hit! He immediately grabbed his left arm and fell onto Hitt Street. I was in shock. He was in shock... and bleeding from his shoulder. Somebody was shooting a gun in downtown Columbia....and a stray bullet injured my son. He was rushed to the emergency room, by ambulance, where the trauma surgeons stabilized him. His surgeon said he is lucky to be alive! The stray bullet fractured his humerus, ricocheted inside his body, then fractured his scapula. On 10-31-2022, The surgeons placed 3 metal plates and 8 pins to repair his fractured scapula. He now has a long road until he fully recovers. Crimestoppers in Columbia has offered a $600 reward to anybody who anonymously gives information that leads to an arrest. So far, nobody wants to talk. Many people have asked us..."how can we help Jason"....This is how you can help. Please make a donation . I will collect the money and forward it to Crimestoppers. $600.00 is not getting anybody to talk. $5000.00 might entice somebody to share their knowledge of this incident. Please help.
