Crimson Kits - COVID19 Edition

For the past 3 Novembers, I've organized a "Crimson Kits" period product donation drive at our Clinic Sofia offices to benefit people experiencing homelessness and otherwise in need. This year, circumstances of the world we live in and my pregnancy are changing things a bit.  While we have consistently had great success in collecting product donations, this year I will be collecting financial contributions only to give to Haven Housing to support whatever needs are greatest for the organization in this difficult time. 

Haven Housing is based in the Twin Cities and is comprised of three programs that provide women and women-led families in crisis or transition housing and resources on the path to independence, stability, and wellness. I am on the Board of Directors and have been consistently impressed with the impact that Haven Housing has on individuals and the community. With Haven Housing now under the leadership of new Executive Director Monica Nilsson, I'm excited for the organization's future in continuing to change lives. 

I looked back on last year's total donations of goods that were collected through our Crimson Kits drive, and I estimate that the total value was at least $2500. This year, it feels more important than ever for all of us to do what we can to help others. Let's raise that much and more for Haven Housing to use in whichever ways are best for those they serve!
