Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
My name is Kristel Silva Balabis, and I am humbly reaching out on behalf of my beloved grandmother, Cristina Silva, who is currently confined at Unihealth Biñan in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines. She has been battling a series of serious health conditions, and we are now facing a difficult and uncertain time.
On April 2, 2025, my grandmother was admitted with a diagnosis of massive pleural effusion on the left side, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and clinically diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis. Her condition has since progressed to include complications such as pleural effusion post-JP drain and massive pleural effusion potentially secondary to either pulmonary tuberculosis or a malignant cause. Despite ongoing treatment and monitoring, we still do not have a definitive diagnosis explaining the continued abnormal discharge from her urinary drainage system.
As of now, her doctors are conducting further tests to determine the underlying cause, but the medical costs are rapidly increasing. Our family is doing everything we can to provide her with the best possible care, but the financial strain has become overwhelming. We are kindly asking for your help to support her medical needs, including diagnostic tests, medications, hospital bills, and other necessary treatments.
Any amount you can share will make a significant difference in her journey toward recovery. Even if you’re unable to give, your prayers and words of encouragement are deeply appreciated. Please help us share this campaign to reach more people who may be willing to lend a hand.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, kindness, and support during this challenging time. Your generosity means the world to our family.
With gratitude,
Kristel Silva Balabis
