Cristo Javier Villalobos Aguillón Memorial Fund
On February 2, 2021, Javier Villalobos received the call from our Lord to join his father in eternity. He was lucky to pursue his passion for cooking in a profession that he loved and enjoyed. He was an experienced chef who worked in some of the most renowned kitchens of the greater Washington, DC area, including the Occidental, and the Half Note, among others. While the restaurant industry has struggled through the pandemic over the last year, Javier managed to stay afloat cooking for carry out and deliveries, keeping his role as the backbone of the family and helping his mother and sister in El Salvador. He loved to sightsee, visit new places, and learn about the cuisines of cultures from around the world.
Javier aspired to own his own business, but unfortunately will not get to pursue his American dream. On the afternoon of February 2, just days after his 41st birthday, Javier collapsed at home with his long-time love Eroidia Contreras by his side. Paramedics were unable to revive him, as he had answered the call of our heavenly father.
Anyone who knew Javier appreciated his hard work and passion for cooking and creating new recipes. His easy-going demeanor put everyone at ease, and he loved to make people laugh with his jokes. At other times, he eagerly engaged in debates, strongly advocating for his position. Javier leaves behind his partner Eroidia, mother Josefa, and sister Sonia, along with a host of heartbroken family and friends.
This memorial fund has been established to cover Javier’s final transport and funeral expenses. Any leftover funds will be used to support his partner, mother, and sister for the difficult road ahead. The family thanks you for any donation, no matter how small, and also appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
El día del 2 de febrero de 2021, Javier Villalobos recibió la llamada de nuestro Señor para reunirse en los cielos con su padre en la eternidad. El fue muy afortunado de perseguir su passion por la cocina, una profesión que él amó y disfrutó. Javier fue un experimentado chef quien trabajo en algunos restaurantes de renombre en el área de Washington, DC, incluyendo el Occidental, Half Note, y otros. Mientras la industria de restaurantes ha sufriedo durante la pandemia desde el año pasado, Javier se logró mantenerse aflote cocinando en algunos restaurantes para las entregas a domicilio y para llevar, manteniendo su postura de ser pilar de su familia, ayudando a su madre y hermana, quienes reciden en El Salvador. Siendo emprendedor del arte culinario, Javier anciaba con tener su propio negocio. A Javier le gustaba pasear, visitar nuevos lugares, y aprender sobre la cultura culinaria de todo el mundo.
Desafortunadamente, Javier no podrá reallizar su sueño americano, ya que en la tarde del 2 de febrero, a tan solo días después de su cumpleaños 41, se desmayó en su lugar de residencia, que compartía con su amada Eroidia Contreras, quien estuvo a su lado en todo momento. Paramédicos respondieron, trataron de resucitarlo sin éxito. Él había atendido el llamado de nuestro Señor en los cielos.
Cualquiera que conocía al Javier apreciaba su trabajo duro y la pasión que tenía por la cocina y la creatividad para crear nuevas recetas. Este fondo se ha creado en su memoria para cubrir gastos funebres y el transporte de sus restos. Cualquier remanente de este será destinado para su madre, su pareja, y su hermana para el difícil camino que les queda por recorrer. La familia les agradece cualquier donación. No importa que tan pequeña sea la cantidad, como también se aprecian sus oraciones.
