Crochet Hats for Charity

Hi, My name is Jaede! I've been crocheting since I was a little girl and started a business about 8 years ago. Each year around the holidays, I have made 100 premature, infant, and baby sized hats for local hospitals and churches all over the the state of Georgia. This year I have planned well enough to start early, which gives me the opportunity to make more hats and larger sizes, as well.

I have always loved donating to people experiencing homelessness, and those of us who aren't currently able to afford necessities on our own. I feel I have the ability to keep people warm during the cold and I wish I could currently do more for more people, but these two hands can only do so much. Crochet is my full time job, but i am just as passionate about helping people who need it and aim to accomplish this goal each year.

I'm asking to cover the price of the hats which will cover travel fees, labor, & materials. Your donation helps to make this a smooth process overall. All helpings hands are felt. Each year i'm directed to the hands that need mine and i hope this charity finds the hands that it needs.

Each hat takes about one skein of yarn and 3.5-2 hours to make typically, this year I want to make warm higher-quality hats, which require a smaller needle for less holes. Smaller needles cover less surface area, therefore take a longer time to complete a hat. This year I would also love to sew lining into some of the adult hats.. which is now mixed media or in other words, a full project.
