Cross Country for a Cure
Tax deductible
Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with – or dies from – ALS.
I'm riding my bicycle cross country raising funds to fight ALS and honor the life of Rodney Lapp. Rodney was a mentor of mine and played a significant role in my walk with God before passing at 62 years old in 2019. A member of Neelsville Presbyterian Church, he had a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and wanted everyone else to know about Him. He especially had a passion for work camps and using his hands to serve those in need. Rodney never met a stranger; he spent his life listening and encouraging lives. When Rodney was in the room, his loud contagious laugh filled the space. Rodney biked the C&O canal in Maryland several times and I know he would be ecstatic to hear about this trip. His legacy of humility, resiliency, and faith will live on.
The mission of the ALS Association is to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. 100% of the funds donated will go towards the ALS Association.
The ALS Association is the only nonprofit completely dedicated to fighting ALS. Our work covers all the bases — research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — in providing help, support, and hope to those facing the disease. Please consider donating so we can eventually come to live in a world without this terrible disease!
