Help Support CrossFit Sderot!

As owners of Invictus Boston & CrossFit One Nation, we want to rally around our fellow Crossfitters and do our best to support the owners of CrossFit Sderot, their coaching staff, and their wonderful community of loyal members.

On January 14th we've planned a fundraising workout in support of CrossFit Sderot!

Starting at 10:00am EST in Boston & Needham, and along with our friends in Israel (hosted at CrossFit Kiryat Gat), we will be dual-live-streaming this event. At the same time, CrossFit gyms from around the United States will host their members for the workout, bringing more awareness to this great cause!

100% of donations will be sent directly to Or Levi & Nofar Amar, co-owners of CrossFit Sderot.

Please read the letter below, written personally by both Or & Nofar:

Our names are Or Levi & Nofar Amar, and we are the proud owners of CrossFit Sderot; a strong community-driven CrossFit Affiliate in Southern Israel.

Or lives in Kibbutz Gavim with his wife and two small children. Nofar grew up in Sderot, and still proudly lives there today.

Before October 7th, CrossFit Sderot was a thriving CrossFit affiliate with around 300 members, at the prime of our business. Based out of a fantastic location, classes were packed daily with loyal and hard-working members just trying to better their lives through fitness.

On October 7th, our lives were shattered. Our gym, CrossFit Sderot, was forced to close. The massacre began at 6:30am, just hours before what was supposed to be our full 9:00am Saturday morning class.

Since then, we've been closed, and our community has suffered losses beyond our comprehension. Five of our members, people we view as family, were murdered on that black Saturday. In addition, one of our members was kidnapped and held hostage. After two months of praying for his safe return, we were further devastated to learn that he had been killed in a terribly unfortunate incident.

Since that horrific day, our members have been displaced. Forced to evacuate their homes and leave their lives behind, they're just waiting for the opportunity to return to some sense of normalcy.

This community is much more than a group of like-minded people who care about fitness; it's truly a family. And right now, all we want is to keep our family alive and together!

Unfortunately, we are still paying full rent, losing members every day, and seeing significantly decreasing income. We've lost over 60% of our members by now, and lose members daily, without the ability to retain them. We don't know how long this could go on for, or when our members will be allowed to return to their homes.

For these reasons, we are trying to raise funds to help keep this community, and this family, ALIVE; so we can go back to our box and rebuild even stronger!

  

100% of funds raised with go towards:

- Paying our rent so we're able to keep our location for when people return, which might take between 6-12 months.

- Keeping our coaching staff employed, including the modest salary for both owners, on which they and their families rely.

- Building a memorial to honor those members that have lost their lives.

- Being able to afford other business expenses so we can reopen our box the day after.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for any assistance that allows us to reestablish our wonderful community, and bring our family back together.
