FOR FURTHER POST STROKE REHEB THERAPY due to some lingering side effects. These side effects being 1) Significant Fatigue and 2) Loss of Fine motor coordination in left hand. In terms of Fatigue, there is physical fatigue as well as significant limitation on what I can do in a day. I currently only work 12 hours per week, and I would like to get back to 40 hours per week. With my left hand, I struggle to type and play basic chords on the ukulele and can no longer print and typing is difficult. All funds received will eventually be paid forward in full to a charity of your choice or others who can’t afford medical treatment.

The treatment is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). It has been shown to be very helpful for stroke patients. The problem is that it is expensive and not covered. It will cost $9000, and I definitely cannot afford that right now. Since my stroke my incoming finances have lessened and my sizeable emergency fund has gone down to zero. As mentioned, I will pay forward 100% of funds received when I am able in the future.

With this therapy, I would need 40 treatments at a clinic at a cost of $225 per treatment for a total of $9000. For that same amount, I can also purchase a soft chamber HBOT to use at home and thus could let others use it as well if I went that route. (UPDATE: I have decided to purchase a home unit)

PLEASE NOTE: There is no guarantee this treatment will be effective for me but I am willing to try anything to further my recovery. Some docotors are very supportive of this therapy while others not so much.
