Donation protected
**UPDATE AS OF 2/17/2021
- THE CKFD HAS RAISED ENOUGH FUNDS TO PURCHASE A NEW 2021 POLARIS RANGER CREW SIDE X SIDE!!
- WE ARE CONTINUING OUR FUND RAISING IN ORDER TO HELP THEM OUTFIT THEIR NEW POLARIS RANGER -
**THE NEXT FIRE SEASON IS COMING UP IN APRIL - OCT, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE READY TO GO THIS YEAR **
THE REMAININGING ITEMS NEEDED TO PROPERLY OUT FIT THE NEW CKFD RESCUE VEHICLE ARE:
- SNOW TRACKS - CK recently got 35" of snow making it impossible to respond to rescue calls for a temporary period
- DOT APPROVED WHEELS & TIRES - Needed to be complaint with state guidelines
- LIGHTING & COMMUNICATIONS - Needed to have proper communication equipment & for safety
- TRAILER - Needed to transport SXS for maintenance and out of range rescues
- MAINTENECE FLUIDS & PARTS - Needed to properly maintain vehicle
- MEDICAL EQUIPMENT- Needed to treat injured people on-site at UTV
AND MORE!
With their annual fundraising being halted, the resources to obtain much needed equipment has been extremely limited if not stopped completely, and people are still in need of medical & fire assistance in the rough terrain of Crown King.
Traditional rescue vehicles cannot navigate into the crowded Forrest areas, making a fast recovery difficult in situations when a tactical rescue may need to take place, or where it can take too long to walk to the medical scene on foot.
There are times when a patient needs to be safely transported to a landing zone for a medical emergency life flight far away from the crash/medical scene, and a UTV can make a timely difference in the recovery when it comes to preventing a more serious injury or even death in some cases.
We are asking any off-road enthusiast whether they drive a Jeep, UTV, ATV, Dirt Bike, or any thing else into Crown King to visit the historical mining town to help show our support to the CKFD in obtaining the funds necessary to purchase a new rescue UTV.

About Crown King Volunteer Fire Department:
The Crown King Fire Department was originally established as an all volunteer Association. The CK Fire District was later formed in 1980. The CKFD has a handful of paid employees and about a dozen volunteers.
CKFD employees and volunteers work hard to keep the remote mountain community of Crown King safe.
From emergency medical services and fuels reduction to Firewise education, the CKFD continues to serve the town and its visitors. Many locals and cabin owners still carry on the tradition of volunteering for the CKFD. Our funding comes from property taxes, grants, and donations from the public.
**100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to benefit the Crown King Fire Department minus any fees that GoFundMe retains for its services. The CKFD is thankful for any and all support**
