Crown Magnetar Emergency Assistance

On April 29th we were heading to Toronto for our show as part of the D:AA North American tour when suddenly our van died 3 hours east of our destination. We managed to get it to a shop where we were told our transmission was completely fried. Being in the middle of nowhere there weren’t many options for transportation and after multiple attempts looking for a vehicle that could fit all 6 of us and tow our trailer failed, we were convinced we were going to drop the show, which would have been our first time doing so in the history of the band. After sitting in a parking lot for 6 hours we somehow found a pickup truck to rent that could tow our trailer and we all squeezed in. Somehow we made it to the venue 20 minutes before we were scheduled to play and were able to perform.

That being said we are left in a very difficult financial situation. The estimated repair is over 5k. We are also stuck renting this truck so we can make the rest of the shows while the van is being repaired. This coming off the heels of our first Europe tour, we are in a pickle and want to do whatever we can to continue the tour and have it be successful.

We’re not the type of band to ask for much help. We’ve broken down and had minor van issues before and handled it ourselves. Last year we were hit by a drunk driver on Chaos & Carnage, destroyed our trailer and heavily damaged our van. We handled it ourselves.

Now, given the difficulty of this situation we are asking help from our community.

Currently we are heading to Montreal for the show tonight. Our van is stuck in Canada for up to another week waiting for parts and the repair. We will have to make a very out of the way drive to return our rented vehicle back to Canada & retrieve our own van. Between the repair, truck rental, all the extra gas from the extra traveling we are just scraping by.

We will not miss any shows. And we are doing everything on our end to make this work. We’re exhausted, a bit demoralized but we are continuing forwards so we can rock out with you all for these remaining shows.

Like we said, we are not ones to ask for help. But we need it now and would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone is able to provide.
