Cruising Community Relief Response to Hurricane Beryl
Donation protected
The cruising community is a tight-knit network of sailors, many of whom live aboard their boats traveling the world. Cruisers rely heavily on the places they go to restock, refuel, and rest between long journeys. Grenada is considered a "hurricane haven" this time of year where many boats go until hurricane season is over. Grenada and the surrounding islands were devastated by Cat 4 Hurricane Beryl on July 1, 2024.
This network of cruisers has teamed up to resupply the islands worst affected by Beryl, like Carriacou.
100% of funds will go towards supplies purchased and taken to the islands in order to support the communities that have always supported us!!!

This image was taken on Union Island today. The damage is devastating and it will take years for these islands to recover.
About the Organizer:
Kathleen is a captain based in Charleston, SC. She and her family were misplaced by a hurricane (only a category 1 in 2003), when she was 13. The fallout of that storm led to her fascination with hurricane meteorology and she has spent 5 years discussing hurricane preparation and explaining the science of hurricanes on her social media. Kathleen is not onsite with the cruisers delivering supplies. However she is organizing funds from afar for the cruisers headed to this area.
All cruisers involved are asked to submit receipts from their supply purchases. If you'd like to get involved, please contact Kathleen!
