Cruz Lancaster #CruzStrong ️

Cruz is the absolute sweetest, most thoughtful 12 year old you would ever want to meet! The youngest child of Travis and Michelle Lancaster, but truly wise beyond his years. Cruz was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) in April 2022. HLH is an aggressive and life-threatening syndrome of immune activation. In February 2023 the driving force of Cruz’s HLH was discovered when he was diagnosed with Hepatosplenic T-cell Lymphoma. HSTCL is hard to diagnose because it hides in the spleen/liver and often times mimics HLH. It can also cause Hemophagocytic disorders which is why the HLH is secondary to this cancer.

Cruz is now in a hospital in Cincinnati Oh which is about seven hours away from his family. To date he has spent 327 nights in-patient fighting this horrible cancer! Cruz and his family were delivered the devastating news today that after more than a year of fighting, the lymphoma has come back or it’s just been smoldering in a hiding spot. Cruz’s kidney function is too poor to do chemo again. At this point Cruz needs a miracle! Most importantly, right now, Cruz needs to be surrounded by his family!

This GoFundMe has been created for just that reason. Cruz’s family has been fighting this hard physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. We are hoping to relieve at least the financial burden from them so the family is able to breathe for a bit and surround Cruz with all the love and attention he so deserves.
