Crisis fund for Kitty

Hi, after my last GoFundMe had to be cancelled due to my Facebook name being different to my passport name I am appealing again.

My name is Joanne but you may know me as Kitty. I suffer with a degenerative, incurable disability called Ehlers-Danlos. This affects my collagen structure leading to painful dislocations, chronic fatigue, mast-cell activation syndrome, postural tachycardia syndrome as well as several other co-morbidities.

I had to stop working in October 2022 due to my symptoms getting worse and after both the collapse of my marriage followed by an abusive relationship I have been left at rock bottom.

I claim benefits, but this doesn't cover the bills. I am currently £300 a month short even whilst eating once a day in order to survive. I have had to make the painful decision to sell my cats, my car, my house and my wedding dress and ring just to get by.

My parents are now chasing money they gifted me back in 2016. This money, (which they obtained through forcing my grandfather to change his will on his death bed) was given to me in order to get on the property ladder. Little did I know at the time, but they wished to profit off this should I sell the house.

For £300 a month I could finally get some independence back and have the space to work on my health. I truly believe if given the chance I could recover and get back into work.
