Crystal Crisp's Cancer Combat
Donation protected
July 26, 2023 Update: Praise God! Three months of chemo infusions, radiation, and all the prayers have paid off. Crystal's repeat scans show the tumors and lesions have decreased in size and there are no new sites of disease. We know she will have to face this for the rest of her life but we are so grateful for any additional time the lord allows us to share with her.
June 27, 2023 Update: Some may not know, but Crystal’s cancer began as a rectal tumor. At this point the pain is excruciating. Crystal has an appointment Friday with GI Surgery to make arrangements for a colostomy. We ask for continued prayers as Crystal goes through this procedure. Thank you to everyone who has donated and prayed for her. We greatly appreciate everything.

On April 10th, 2023, little did Crystal know that her mild abdominal pain would lead to something much more tragic and life threatening. Exactly two weeks and a CT scan later she got the call, and the diagnosis was CANCER!
I was aware of Crystal’s symptoms but never had I expected to hear that it was cancer. My 44 year old sister, only 6 years older than myself now has cancer. Just the thought was and is still UNREAL!
My name is Ashley, Crystal's little sister, and this is her story...
On Friday May 12th, I accompanied Crystal to her first Oncology appointment. We left that day with a life altering diagnosis, Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. Neuroendocrine tumors are rare and very aggressive. It had already spread to numerous areas, lymph nodes and bones. Crystal, who just two months ago was a healthy young woman, now has stage 4 terminal cancer. The prognosis isn’t good, but Crystal is determined to beat the odds.
If you know Crystal, you can’t help but love her and her personality. She has the biggest heart, just like our mom. Crystal is an amazing Daughter, Mother, Mimi, Aunt, and of course BIG SISTER! She is a go-getter, hardworking, and always on the move. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has really slowed her down. Crystal is no longer able to work, so we are asking for donations to help support her during this time. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Crystal is also a NC State Employee. If you are interested in donating any sick leave, please let me know and I can get you the information.
If you are unable to donate, we simply ask for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you for all your support.
