Hi everyone. My best friend Crystal’s life has quickly spiraled out of control. One month ago she had a routine surgery and has been living a nightmare ever since.

Day after surgery, she developed a urinary tract infection and put on antibiotics. Problem is, she never got better….

She was next diagnosed with a life threatening pulmonary embolism the following week. Immediately she was put on blood thinners in attempt to dissolve the clot. Flash forward until this past week, the blood thinners caused her to bleed internally at her surgical sites So she had to go back to the operating room. She thought all was well and she could go home to focus on recovery.

She was discharged home and within 10 hours was rushed back to the hospital with a high fever. She now has positive blood cultures and is being treated by the infectious disease team for sepsis.

Not only has this been an extremely terrifying and difficult road for her, Crystal doesn’t have a lot of support in her area. She has 4 precious children under the age of 10 who are all in need of their Mommy to get better. She is unable to work and will have lots of medical bills. Any amount of donation will help this family get back on their feet. Crystal is an amazing person and we need to come together for her! Will also be setting up a meal train for when she gets home.
