Crystal’s Battle with Cancer

Crystal (Borges) Belmonte has always been the most compassionate, loving and generous person I’ve known! You may remember her as the woman who gave you your first baby blanket, or the woman who you saw gifting shoes to random homeless people, or the best cashier at Accents, Kilauea Market or Papayas. It’s our time to bring her generosity full circle and help her with the unexpected and frightening expenses of ovarian cancer. Due to the severity of her illness, Crystal cannot work and despite great health insurance, cannot cover the expenses of her care. We, as her loving friends, are doing all we can to help. For those needing more info. Crystal thought she had a number of UTIs and docs continued to treat her for that, but in August she went to the ER for abdominal pain and within 72 hours she was on Oahu and had an emergency hysterectomy. Her diagnosis is ovarian carcinoma sarcoma. She’s a
