Help a Family Evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
Hello and peace be with you,
My name is Roo McGuire (@roomcguire). I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my friends Mohammed and Amal ("Om") Basel. Mohammed is a Gazan refugee in Germany and Amal is his sister who is currently trapped in Rafah, Gaza Strip, with nowhere to go. Amal has two small children. Please help us evacuate Amal and her family from Gaza and help them safely cross the border into Egypt.
Here is how the money will be used:
$20,000 for crossing over to Egyptian border
$10,000 for living costs
Here is a message from Amal:
I am your sister from Gaza. From the first moments of the war, we left our home, where I live with my children, husband, and family. We moved to my relatives, then to UNRWA schools, then to a tent in the south, and now again to a tent in Rafah. We are also thinking of going again to make a tent in Khan Yunis because Israel wants to enter Rafah. Our life has become a journey from one place to another, a life besieged on all sides by bombing, destruction, high cost of living, tents, and diseases. Every day one of my children gets sick. I swear to God, my child sleeps holding my hand and always tries to put something on her head so that she does not hear the sound of the bombing. Showering became a dream. We have difficulty obtaining drinking water, bath water, etc., and need to walk long distances. We were tired and our house was bombed. We have nothing left, no homeland and no future. Our children's schools have become graves for martyrs. Most of them were destroyed. You will not find a street in Gaza that has not been bombed. There is no future for my children in Gaza. Even if we lived and the war stopped, where is the education, where is the home, where is the hospital. Israel has destroyed all our dreams. We slept in 2023 and woke up in 1948. We lived through many wars, but this war destroyed everything we had. I don't know whether we will survive this war or whether it will become just a memory. Forgive us for asking for help, but I am afraid of losing my children. Every minute I ask myself whether I will lose my family like thousands of families. Even if the war ended and we were fine, where would we live? Our house was bombed. We lost everything in this war, past, present and future. Please support me and my children.
Thank you again for your donation in advance and peace be with you.
