Alfie’s Surgery And Poorly Ear

Alfie is our 7yr old Shih Tzu. When he was about 18mths old we discovered he had a mast cell tumour and it was removed. It was graded at stage 4. He had the lump removed and had chemotherapy and made a fantastic recovery.
Fast forward to today, Alfie has several small lumps that at first didn’t bother him and the vet wasn’t concerned.
The last few weeks Alfie has not been himself. He is restless and losing weight although eating ok.
The latest vet consultation has resulted in the decision to remove at least 5 of these lumps and send to histology.
During this COVID19 situation the quickest they can do this is next week (May15th)
The “estimate” is over £700 for surgery and histology. If he requires further treatment it will be much more.
As a Shih Tzu he has,potentially, another 9/10 years in him. He is a much loved member of our family and we need him to be better.
