Help Jordan Get E-Sight Glasses
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jodie and I am trying to raise money for a pair of technologically advanced glasses that will enable my daughter, Jordan, to see things that she has never been able to see before. Jordan is seven years old and has been legally blind since birth, with nothing but light perception in her left eye and only minimal vision (20/400) in her right, with glasses on. She can only see things that are a few feet in front of her and can only see details if they are inches in front of her.
We have been waiting and praying for the day when there would be something out there to help her. Then one day, it seemed like our prayers were being answered. We came across a video online from "The Doctors" show about how E-Sight glasses were helping people who were severely visually impaired see. We could not believe there could be such an amazing thing... until we were fortunate enough to have my daughter try them for herself.
E-Sight Eyewear is a Canadian company and they came to Charlotte, NC, of all places, for demonstrations. My daughter called it "the best day ever". With the help of these glasses, she was able to see things that we never thought were possible. This included a stop sign that was over 100 feet away, our facial expressions at 20 feet away and flower petals instead of a colorful blob. She even saw a cartoon show through the glasses when they were plugged into the computer.
We are so very excited about these glasses and hope that we can raise $16,000 to purchase them. These glasses will be so advantageous to my daughters learning and her ability to see the world like most of us do. We are hoping to raise the money as quickly as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please check out our video to get to know us a litte better.
God Bless You
"the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous."
Psalms 146:8
