Brent Johnson’s Story

On July 14th 2022, while on vacation with his family up at Priest Lake, Brent Johnson went on a scenic dirt bike ride up to Eddy’s Peak. If you knew Brent, you know that adventure, exploring the outdoors, Priest Lake and his family were amongst his favorite things. Unfortunately instead of returning from this ride, his wife, Stephanie, got the knock on the cabin door that nobody ever wants to receive. It was the neighbor he had gone out with that day, telling her he had been in an accident involving an SUV. A surgeon headed up for his own vacation, was one of the first to arrive on scene and was able to start life saving measures within 3 minutes of the accident. His wife was also able to make it to be by his side and pray over him, as they anticipated emergency responders arrival. Brent was airlifted by a life flight to Kootenai Health, where he received several blood transfusions and went directly in to emergency surgery. Tragically, Brent had sustained too many injuries in the accident and passed away. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Stephanie, their adorable 4 year old daughter, Ellie, a supportive and loving family and an abundance of amazing friends. Everyone touched by Brent’s life is completely devastated!

In the midst of this tragedy, they are truly grateful for the overwhelming outreach and support from our amazing community.
