Samantha’s Medical Expenses

Cancer is a word you never want to hear once, let alone three times but on October 17th I was diagnosed with cancer for a third time. On top of that, it was found that my right kidney has hydronephrosis, which means the kidney is blocked by the tumor not allowing anything to pass through to the bladder. I will need surgery to fix this. I recently had to reschedule my PET scan due to having complications and infection from the kidney issue. My Pet scan is now scheduled for November 11th at Duke. I will then meet with my oncologist for next steps. This was an unexpected diagnosis as I had just celebrated being 2 years stable from having cancer for a 2nd time. My world is shook and I feel so many feeling over this that I feel I may explode. I just turned 30 this was not supposed to happen again. I was supposed to resume my life and move along from this. I, along with my mom live very modestly and on a budget. We have still not financially recovered from the previous time and do not have reserves to pull from. I humbly come to you to ask if you would donate to my medical expenses which include, gas, travel to and from Duke for multiple appointments, travel to Duke for possible future treatment, car upkeep, medicines, medical bills and help with other various medical expenses as we have no idea how long this will go on. I understand we live in a world that’s uncertain for us all and some may not be able to give or want to give, if that is the case I would ask that you share this link and your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
